Life Reflections of Denisha Harrison

Denisha Jeanette Harrison was born on February 16, 1972, in Hillsboro, Texas to the lineage of Roy Hall and Donna Carter Benson.  Denisha had a fond love of her stepfather Cornell Benson Sr. who was in the military, which allowed Denisha to see the world from Wertheim, Germany to Kentucky and Olympia, Washington.  Shel loved her parents sincerely and took time to care for her mother and nurtured each other up until her passing.  She was a daddy's girl to her father and ready to hear his voice at every moment.  Denisha attended Leakes High School in Silicom, Washington and moved back to Texas and worked in the banking industry as a Loan Processor for 20 plus years reaching the height as Team Lead for Herring Bank.

Denisha met Philip Harrison in 2001 and were wed in Holy Matrimony on May 10, 2003.  Denisha accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and supported her husband as he accepted the call into the ministry.  In December 2017, Rev. Philip Harrison was installed as Pastor over Cherry Grove Baptist Church in the North Caney edition to Sulphur Springs, Texas and Denisha became the First Lady.  Denisha supported her husband in the ministry and cherished her call as First Lady.  She supported and helped raise their son, Jafari Harrison, with whom she loved dearly.  The Cherry Grove Women's Ministry accepted and supported Denisha and dedicated themselves to come to her aid an assist her where needed after being diagnosed with cancer.

Denisha had an extreme lover for flowers and plants, planting all types of flowers in and around the landscape of her home.  Her backyard would always be filled with potted plants to attract hummingbirds and butterflies which gave her a tranquility of peace and love.  She would create potted plants for her in-laws and other family members making sure they had beautiful potted plants.  She had a knack for interior decorating and staging houses for others, always the person to ask if this is the right color or the right piece of art for their home.  She loved watching home remodeling and cooking shows as she could come up with creative ideas and put them to work with her gifted hands.

On Sunday, March 26, 2023, at 2:27pm and officially at 4pm, our Lord and Savior guided our beloved First Lady, Denisha Harrison, into a restful place in paradise.

Denisha had a love for her own family like none other.  She made sure her family had all the support they needed and in her passing she leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Philip Harrison; son Jafiari Harrison; a beloved grandmother Retha Hall (98); father Roy and Tina Hall; mother Donna Carter Benson; brother Cornell Benson Jr., sister Letrece Hall, brother Cody Hall, (twins) brother Christopher Hall and sister Crystal Hall.  She also leaves neices, Kloe Benson, Khira Benson, Arisha and Amanda Harrison; nephews, Trevon Benson, Naquan Benson, Markel Benson, Derek "DJ" Harrison II and Preston Harrison; brother and sister in-law Derek and Areatha Harrison; and a host of cousins, uncles, and aunts.
